Only in Monroe hosted by Stephen Colbert

Okay, what in the world does this have to do with MY BLOG?  Well, I lived in the fair City of Monroe, MI from 1990-1999 because of my connection to the media there. In 1989 I started working for the local radio station, WTWR as a jock. In 1995 I became a stringer reporter and photographer for the County Weekly newspaper, The Monroe Guardian and in between all of this, from 1990-1994, I actually built and ran this very television studio, M.P.A.C.T. or Monroe Public Access Cable Television.  It was quite an exciting time in MY world being able to design and supervise the building of a television studio and then to be able to design and implement the training of the citizen volunteer/members of the studio. I left in 1994 and very recently they built a brand new studio across the hall from the original and it is in the new studio where mega-star Stephen Colbert brought his New  York television crew to shoot this program.   Michigan music mega-star, Eminem, also joined the program for a hilarious interview.  Do yourself a favor and check it out, laugh (if you are so moved) and share the love with the world.  My heart-felt congratulations to the staff and volunteers of Monroe Public Access Cable Television, the City of Monroe Michigan and thanks to Stephen Colbert and Eminem for giving these hard working folks some much deserved publicity!  Oh, and Only in Monroe is usually co-hosted by Kaye Lani Rae Rafko Wilson, who wore the crown of Miss. America in 1988!
