sudden summer shower

Sheets of rain falling

Small animals seek shelter

Neath tall tree branches

Thunder adds color

With a distant booming voice

Louder than rain’s drops

Someone wake lightening

It’s getting too dark to see

With no sun or moon

Thirsty soil sighs

Mother Nature buys a round

No one can refuse

  1. Love the way you paint the scene and then—oh, the ending! Brilliant!

I appreciate that this spoke to you. All the while it was happening I felt compelled to tell the tale!
