I was going to call this the Witch’s Medicine Cabinet as at some points of my career I have been labelled as such. Once in Ireland a male client arrived in need of a complete lifestyle makeover prior to a heart operation. I asked him how he had heard of me and he ruefully responded…. ‘My doctor told me to get myself down to the witch at the dietary clinic and get some weight off before the operation.. he also told me not to say he recommended you!’

For those who have never heard of a blog party before, the concept is simple. The host will create a post which states a set of rules. Several years ago a friend asked me to work with him preparing one of his books for publication. The task expanded a little as we worked and eventually, we had a book, The Mystical Hexagram: The Seven Inner Stars of Power. Contracts were signed and the book went to press. I will not forget the feeling of holding that first book with my name on the cover in any hurry…
By this year we felt that the book needed to be amended, updated and dressed in a new cover, based on a detail from the Splendor Solis, an 16thC alchemical tract.
