Somewhere, there’s a wind
Carrying someone I knew
Away to a new land
I never questioned
The wind would just come and go
Did not pay much mind
One day it was clear
Both you and the wind were gone
No trace and no trail
Tree tops are silent
Clouds hang like the curtain drawn
You and the wind, gone

A beautiful poem from Annette Rochelle Aben that clearly brought back watching the ashes of a lovely friend being scattered to the winds.

Annette, your poem was touching. Love your butterfly. 😊 I found your post via Sally Cronin.
