It was twenty years ago… today? Well this month actually. Twenty years ago The Academy of American Poets inaugurated this month long celebration to honor poetry’s place in our culture. And when you visit their website, you’ll find a myriad of ways to join in the festivities. People are being encouraged to write, read, share and publish their poetry as well as to honor other poets with letters, cards and other forms of communication. Check it out and join in the party!
Of course many a poet lives this celebration every day of their lives, they write, write and write even more poetry until they are surrounded by a pile of offerings. Some blog their efforts, many share in performances such as poetry slams and poets like myself, well we PUBLISH BOOKS!
TA-DA! In honor of National Poetry Month, I announce the release of my latest book, A Haiku Perspective 2016
I made this book available in print as well as in Kindle format so however you need to read, you can feed that appetite
This is the follow-up to my A Haiku Perspective 2015, which was published in Oct. of 2015. Much like its predecessor, A Haiku Perspective 2016 has two sections, one of my everyday haiku and the second, the haiku I submitted to the Weekly Haiku Challenge hosted by http://www.ronovanwrites.wordpress.com
All my life, writing has been my passion. My favorite way to express this passion has been through poetry, so having the opportunity to share my poetry through published books, is like a dream come true.
I invite you to explore my contribution to this year’s National Poetry Month, share it and by all means, be so kind as to leave a review to let the next explorer know what you think.
I will be posting something every Monday in April, announcing how I am choosing to celebrate National Poetry Month, so be sure to FOLLOW my BLOG. Let me know what it is YOU are doing, so we can spread the love of poetry all over the world.
Congratulations! How wonderful. Will add to my wish list on amazon! x

Oh, no problem!!! I love poetry. I’m not so prolific at writing poetry but I do write once in a while. I’m thinking I’ll try again while I’m on leave from work, just express my thoughts and maybe to have some kind of therapy…Keep writing!!!
