Well, here it is, TELL A STORY DAY and I have literally lost sleep over that which I, myself, was going to share. Truth be known, I have written a few short stories in my life, however, those that were worthy of sharing, can no longer be located. Those I have located, could have stayed unlocatable and you’d have not have missed anything. So, what to do, what to do… When my prose just won’t come through for me, where to turn…
I have it! In my book, Perspective, it’s all about replacing one thought with another, I have a tale about the moon, written in poetic rhyme. This, this is what I will share! (I love it when a plan comes together). Without further ado, I present my offering to honor TELL A STORY DAY, 2016
I took off into the night
on a magical, mystical flight,
I was not myself, human born,
I was a flying beast, Pegasus with a horn.
My unicorn self breezed past clouds and trees
in search of what I hoped I would see.
Careful to look in every direction
for at any moment I might make the connection
with whatever it was, that called me out
into the night skies to fly about,
when it came in to view
the minute I saw it, I knew…
THE MOON
She hung there, oh so bold and bright
it was SHE who called me out into the night.
So, I circled her, back and forth, over and under
her glow bathed my coat and filled me with wonder.
It was as though she was banking her light
off my wings while I was in flight.
Together we created a path for those below
so their way, they would surely know.
We played like this until dawn and I hope
I don’t have to wait too long
to once again dance all night
through THE MOON’S glorious light!

Remember, that every April 27th is TELL A STORY DAY and having a special day is a good reason to celebrate, but staying connected to others through our stories can happen any day. Take the time to share a bit of yourself with someone else and feel the magic telling a story brings!
Oh, and here is where you can find my book, Perspective, it’s all about replacing one thought with another, as well as the other books I have written.
