Thanks, Denis! I got to see Melanie in concert about 12 years ago.. She was terrific! It was an intimate venue and she had her son performing with her. he played guitar. What a treat it was.

We saw her in Melbourne last year and her son was with her , seems he has been travelling with her for some time. he is very energetic. Melanie sounded as beautiful as when we saw her back in 1975 in Melbourne. She came out every couple of years then and almost stayed to live. I love her Woodstock story, so opportune.

Lovely haiku! It reminded me of one Indian song https://goo.gl/uSVcID..that I had shamelessly danced to in front of my primary school morning assembly.
Hippies evoke double connotations – carefree, happy, loving everyone…but then came drugs and lax attitude.

That video was something else. I had no idea that there was an energy similar to what we had going on here, over in India at that time. I would imagine that is because, back in those days, we had no access. Amazing. Yeah, the drugs and such, they had to go bye-bye. I had good times and I had scary times… many memories ❤

True, this poor print movie from around late 70s rather criticizes certain aspects of the movement, but generally, those days many Indian youngsters followed a hip life-style. I remember my older male cousin with his devil-may-care attitude, always in funky shirts, bell bottoms, one earring and his mom always criticizing him.
That said, probably the world still needs to be loving and carefree rather than hung up about religions and politics 🙂
