It’s HERE! The day when each and everyone of us can BE AN ANGEL!! Pretty cool huh?
Back in 1993, Jayne Howard Feldman wanted to encourage people to be NICE to each other, to suggest that we take the time do help make someone’s life a little easier. Her means to that end was to create Be An Angel Day. Thanks, in part, to the power of social media, the idea grew into a movement and it continues to move forward 23 years later.
So, what can YOU do to participate… Mow someone’s lawn, hold open a door, wash all the vehicles in the family driveway, cook more than enough dinner and take some over to the senior citizen next door and eat it with them. Listen to a conversation for no other reason than to be present. Put extra coins into parking meters. Clean your mother’s house. Take the baby for a day and give the parents a break. Walk the neighbor’s dog.
Of course the purpose of mentioning things you could do is to prime the pump of your imagination. You’ll figure this out and spread your beautiful Angel wings everywhere you are today. Oh and I suppose you have guessed by now, that being an Angel really doesn’t require a special day. What makes Be An Angel Day special, is what you DO. Simply to show the world, the Angel that you are, everyday and everyday will become Angel Day!
Embrace generosity!!
Lovely, Annette. We do “random acts of kindness.” Sort of the same thing and it always makes people smile. 🙂

I truly believe that this lady just found another way to make the idea of performing acts of kindness, appeal to another audience… it IS all good, right?
