Gramma’s recipe
Really simple, rather plain
Sounded good to us
Three ingredients
Potatoes, beef and ketchup
Just layer and bake
Dad’s favorite meal
His mother used to make it
We never knew her

It was tasty… reminded me of a burger and fries. That being said, I did add some mustard to mine when I ate it as I am not a ketchup fan. My dad will be so excited when I tell him that we did make the dish. ❤

We added barbecue sauce and used little cut up red potatoes. Had it today! My husband would not let me send the leftovers home with our “guest” for lunch!

That is awesome! I am imaging that my brother would LOVE to try it with barbeque sauce as well. Thank you for sharing that you tried this. I am going to let my dad know! ❤

Even if you use BBQ sauce (and a shot of worchester sauce (sp?) a drizzle of catsup on top adds a lot. I really got creative with your recipe.

This is really cool. I was telling my brother what you did and he just smiled. I will let him know the specifics you just shared.. What a nifty thing this has turned out to be. ❤

It’s so refreshing to hear a young person use “nifty.” Next thing you know, you”ll be describing your dad as “dapper.”

Dapper dad… that has a nice ring to it. Think I’ll think of him this way. 🙂
