Even though we are not dead yet (which is a surprise to some of our former pupils) and we are still teaching, just at a higher level, my husband and I have left a teaching legacy here in town. It goes: “Oh yes, Mr. L, he was brilliant, undeniably the smartest teacher I ever had… and she was funny.” What a thing to be remembered for!
