I didn’t grow up in a well to do family. There were six children and my parents and my dad was a truck driver so money was tight but, every fall my mom managed to buy a large bag of peanuts and would give it to us to go outside and scatter them around for the squirrels. She wanted to make sure they had enough food for the coming winter.
