    There is a song all about two pieces of fruit my mother has on old vinyl. I can’t remember the title now, it’s been so long, but this piece reminds me of that piece and both are brilliant.

    Got it. The song that is. A Small Fruit Song by Al Stewart. The short vocal is at the very end – believe me she played it a thousand times.

    I was not all that familiar with much of his work but what I had heard, I enjoyed. I did dig up The Small Fruit Song and I loved it. Thanks for the nod in the right direction! 🙂

    Also I still have an Al Stewart vinyl from the 70’s called Past, Present and Future, very spooky lyrics.
