Saved all the kite string

Two bottle caps, a skate key

Dice with dots worn off

Rope off the old sled

Hockey puck signed by teammates

A cat’s eye marble

Kept in a tin box

Under the bed, secret spot

Treasures of his youth

    My children have many “treasures” they find at the park, creek, or school. I let them keep those treasures (most of the time) because of emotions like the ones created in this poem. Thank you.
