With consternation
Children step up to the door
Shouting “Trick or Treat”
Are the decorations fake
In the dim light, they aren’t sure

It was pretty cold here. I didn’t go out. Yet, our evening was perfect. ❤

My sister decorates with bloody body parts in trees, zombies, rats, tombstones, etc. This year, she added a woman who had her head chopped off (sitting there, holding her head in her lap) a full sized coffin with bony hands reaching out and a freaky little girl trick or treater… most of the kids were terrified of the headless woman but intrigued because the woman was holding the bloody head. The parents didn’t help by teasing the kids, but hey, my sister is a master artist at this stuff.

Yes, I remember you saying that she loves to decorate and how good she is at it! It sounds like she surpassed herself this year! 🙂
