3 of my 9 self-published books received 2 new reviews each and they were glowing. My heart just swelled with pride, because it was as though 3 of my children were being acknowledged for their outstanding existence. What parent wouldn’t be smiling??
*interestingly enough… as I look at the picture below, those 3 books, just happen to be the first 3 in the pictured in the collage…
I know, from speaking with other authors, that selling books seems to be easier than asking for or even receiving reviews. In many ways, I understand that and in many I do not. So, I figured I’d ask. My suggestion to other authors is this, KEEP ASKING! There are any number of reasons why people do not leave reviews just as there are reasons why people will visit Amazon, Goodreads or even take to their blog/social media and sing the praises of a book they just read.
To those, who took advantage of some special pricing I offered on Kindle versions of 5 of my books over the last 5 weeks, thank you so much and I hope you are pleased with your purchases. To those who, also went back to Amazon and left 5-Star Reviews or posted a 5-Star Review on your blog, thank you so much! I am honored.
So, what’s next? Soon, a COVER REVEAL for my latest book (s). Oh my, did I let that slip… One book at a time but YES, there are two more books due out before the end of this year. Just tweaking the first and getting ready to order the proof of the second. I am not sure which is more exciting, giving birth to a new book or celebrating the reviews. I’ll take any excuse for a party!
