Drama Lama

My response to the Carrot Ranch 99 Word Flash Fiction Challenge this week. We had to write about exhaustion!

Legs with the strength of overcooked spaghetti kept her from being able to stand at the kitchen sink. If she could raise her arms from the dead, she would move the shock of hair that had fallen, blocking her view. Instead, she made a feeble attempt to blow it out of the way.

Motheeeeerrrrrr.

“Puhleeeeezzeeeee.”

 “I am sooo tired!”

Mother had heard it all before. Of course, her daughter didn’t have the energy to get the dishes washed. If she expended all that effort doing chores, then she’d have no energy left to spend the evening with her friends.

Be sure to check out Charli Mills, so you can stay abreast of the challenges and adventures on the Carrot Ranch! https://carrotranch.com/2019/04/25/april-25-flash-fiction-challenge/

  3. My mother was not nearly as understanding, Annette. Dish washing was a certainty.

  5. Teens . . . You’ve gotta love ’em. I was never a fan of dishwashing either. I enjoyed your story, my friend! Happy Friday and a great weekend! ❤
