Would
You choose
To let go
Of the need to
Control other’s lives
Even those of your kids
If you knew they’d be okay
Allowing them to make choices
That will make or break them in the end
Knowing that this is how they learn to grow

It was hard but that’s what we did. They all turned out beautifully.

Yes because we have – even the one that didn’t ‘phone home’ for a long time. Of course that doesn’t mean you don’t worry ( live in terror ) about the things no one can control. Plane crashes, natural disasters and fatal illnesses!

I think I am not doing too bad in that. Supporting my kids on the journey they choose for themselves… but after all, I am a mom 😊

Well, I’m not so sure about this??? There comes a time to let go, to be sure but part of the reason we send kids to school is so they can learn from the wisdom of others and maybe from their parents too! I tried to keep my kids from having to make the mistakes I did or others did. The best thing to do is to teach kids How to make the right decisions and then when the time comes when they are free to make all their own decisions you can trust in their upbringing to do just that. Wise counsel from any source is a value I instilled in my kids.
