With tales of mysteries
Of what they hide in trees
They’ll never tell

The squirrels who live in my mungo pines scold me every time I walk out into their front yard to get the paper or the mail; they tease my cat who stares out the glass storm door at them, and they eat my bulbs planted in the front flower beds…ahhhhh.
