Grateful, I am to the powers that be
That I fell in love with writing poetry
It might make sense and sometimes not
But what it is, is what you’ve got
From the heart, fed through the mind
And bits of wisdom you may find
Onto more writing, I must away
To Celebrate World Poetry Day

Thank you, Julie. Yeah, it was and I thought of how I’s be remiss if I didn’t create something special. After all, without poetry, my world would be rather boring! 🙂

Rhyme works well – only when it is used judiciously and appropriately.
