There
They were
Floating high
In the night air
Worlds I sought to touch
Sometimes, seeming so close
That all I needed to do
Was to stretch as far as I could
And if I closed my eyes while reaching
I could pull myself up to where they were

Annette, I love the idea of stretching to reach that goal. Clearly, it’s there for you, written in the stars. I enjoyed this piece so much! ❤

Your poem reminds me of camping trips with my family growing up. We would lay down on blankets, watch the stars and try to find the constellations. Beautiful. ❤ xo
