Day 5 – Blog Post
Jamie Griffin, our roguish young Irishman, made his debut in The Enigma Gamers. He initially appears in the Macau high-end nightclub, adjusting the casino’s slot machines. Jamie works as a contractor, along with his love interest Frieda who is in the data operations side of the business. Jamie convinced Frieda to take this on as an opportunistic gig for the massive payoff in this rich target environment.
Julie and Juan, heads of our cyber assassin establishment technology services (CATS) team, are vacationing in the region. The pair decide to enjoy a new state-of-the-art nightspot using lots of artificially intelligent-enabled components. Julie spots Jamie’s covert skimming that deftly avoids the cameras and artificially intelligent robots serving the casino guests. They chuckled at his sleight of hand, marveling at the risks the young man took.
The CATS team crosses paths with the rogue Irishman along with Frieda in the threads of this story. Readers fondly commented on Jamie, and in The Enigma Dragon, we had an excellent opportunity to bring him back. In The Enigma Dragon, he deepens his relationship with the CATS team and provides clues to their working case.
Ernesto, Jamie’s primary contact, likes the young man, taking him under his wing. Enjoy this audible extract for insight into Jamie.
Ernesto discovers the additional layers to Jamie along with this talent for Irish blarney. This young man has the rare gift to sell the improbable, much like selling a refrigerator to Eskimos.
Readers and fans commented on Jamie. They liked his contribution to the story and sent emails wondering about his background and family life. We dedicated Destiny Dreamer as the background on his early life and lessons learned as he grew up.
Characters in our stories are multifaceted people. Their interactions, life challenges, and travels make an impact on the soul. We invite you to explore Jamie’s beginnings, meet his family as he learns the depth and breadth of the heart of an Irishman.
We encourage you to post your review and let us know if Jamie should continue to appear in our novels of the Enigma Series.
About the Short Story
Jamie started life as a carefree lad in Ireland, living in a farm family. When his brother Ian was born, he vowed to show him all the best things as a big brother. They became best friends from the time Jamie taught Ian to drive a tractor. Their bonding exercises as young men was rebuilding a motorcycle from a box of greasy old parts. They traveled to learn their destiny together.
Jamie met his love Frieda as he ventured into a new career in technology as their paths crossed on a bus. The relationship blossomed into a family. The future looked bright for the young lovers.
Jamie faces emotional highs and lows as he travels. His one consistency is the bus rides to find hope for his future.
Where will his future lead him?
The book is available on Amazon We look forward to your review and comments on our short stories

Hi Rox, Hi Charles, Hi Annette,
Rox and Charles, I cannot express how much I enjoyed Destiny Dreamer. Both Jamie and Ian were top characters and it saddened me me when Isn died in the motorcycle accident. I will stay no more but to say this was a top short story.
Annette, thank you so much for hosting Rox and Charles on your blog.
Wishing you three a happy Sunday.
