This poem is inspired by the date today 3-8 and the fact that it is my sister’s birthday! Those numbers comprise the syllables in each line. 3 -8-3-8-3-8 (etc.) This is also her 62nd birthday and that adds up to 8 and she is the 3rd child. Oh, and I only used 11 lines, because 3 + 8 = 11. So, I guess I would title this syllabic form: Special Occasion Syllabic Poetry
In the trees
Branches are budding at their ends
Potential
For oh so many lovely leaves
And critters
Will build nests to house their young ones
Protected
From the hunters of easy prey
As well as
The elements of wind and rain
In the trees

You should name the form after your sister, Sis. I love it! What a great numerological form. ❤

Thank you so much! I thought about naming it after her, but I wanted people to consider using the numbers in their lives… Oh well. ❤
