The neighbor kids built it
A snowman in her yard
While working long, and hard
They still had fun
Watching through her curtains
Delighting in the gift
That gave her such a lift
And brought a smile
Carrots and coal and twigs
For a face, arms, and hands
Their creation looked grand
What was missing
They knocked upon her door
He needed clothes to wear
Had she something to share
Of course, she did
An old wool hat found she
And so stylish heβd be
Her dark, gray scarf

What a joy to watch the kids building a snowman and even being part of the process. Wonderful!
