Deep Breath

Days

Filled with

Distractions

Don’t hide the pain

Life, unbearable

For just a few minutes

Smiles and laughter with strangers

Alcohol takes away the stress

Then the car pulls into the driveway

Turn off the headlights, plunge into darkness

    What starts like a joyful time, leads into desperation. What a dramatic change in the last three lines.
