The late October
Days filled with blue skies, warm temps
Are so wonderful
Leave behind your coat
As you head outside to play
Or string Christmas lights

Fresh air required
Greeting me en masse
Water fowl most amazing
Parading on shore
As they fed themselves
I feasted upon the sight
With camera in hand
Autumn afternoon
Sharing a most sacred space
Mutual respect
