I tried
And fell short
To make dinner
Come out really good
Oh, there’s lots of flavor
Somewhat, a bit of texture
But I would not serve this to you
I will eat the seven pints myself
And try a different method next time ‘round

Filling the kitchen with smoke
Uh, that would be me
Tried to figure out
If we could salvage our meal
Once the smoke had cleared
Not gonna happen
It’s cereal for supper

When your mother made icing
For a birthday cake
Did you make shortbread
Baked with cinnamon sugar
Leftover pie dough
Put on an apron
Take a whiff of yesterday
Taste bud time machine

Grab carrots, cabbage, tofu
Stir fry with hot sauce
Cut up some fresh limes
Chop peanuts small for garnish
And supper’s ready!
