Families on bikes

Excited voices laughing

Exploring the park

Trees with brand new leaves

Old nests are still visible

Take a break, lean back

Squirrels search for nuts

Ducks and geese argue with gulls

Bees find their clover

The trail goes for miles

While the bikes don’t seem to mind

Not so little legs

Hugh’s Weekly Photo Challenge Week 23 Season

two-day 437martket

I am thrilled to know that on Thursday, May 5th, our city will open its annual Farmer’s Market.  There’s lots to do, even this early in the season.  We have theme weeks which include contests for kids, and  pets. Entertainers get everyone singing (and many dancing).  There is a fountain in a small pond on the other side of this building in the background of this picture and the waterfowl gather to the delight of the crowd.  Surrounding this market are a children’s water park, soccer fields, picnic areas and a skate boarding park. Yes, this season promises to be fun, loud and filled with a lot of good times, now through October!

Hugh’s Weekly Photo Challenge Week 18 Sweet

http://hughsviewsandnews.com/2016/03/22/hughs-weekly-photo-challenge-week-18-sweet/

Wow, I was thinking along the lines of candy, ice cream, etc. after all, we are preparing for the arrival of the big old bunny with his baskets of yummies here too.  However, I decided to share a photo that reminds me of the sweetness of life, every time I look at it.  Here is a darling little girl who was watching her own mother hold a little fella in her arms (someone else’s baby).  At first, the little girl was curious, then she was miffed and then, out of nowhere, she leaned over and started (as she put it) loving on the baby!  Sweet to me!!

Thanks Hugh, for the opportunity to share this photo and to participate in your challenge.  Hoppy Easter to you all!
