See See

When life’s wind shakes the soul

Appearing not to care

Defenses stripped to bare

Do think again

For now, the clouds are gone

Reality in view

Appreciation anew

For the change

Thank you I Get It

I can hardly thank Charli Mills enough for this week’s flash fiction prompt. It allowed me to take stock of my of my life at a point when it was most necessary. Woo Hoo! Check out the  Carrot Ranch

When I think of all I’ve been through in sixty-three years on this little blue planet, I am in awe. The sad experiences that seemed would tear my heart out. The happy times I enjoyed so much, seemed to drain my energy. But I am not about to complain!

It has all made me the person I am today. Even though when you take a look at me, I may appear to be a bit worse for the wear, I am still here. No worries. And though there’s so much more to learn, halleluiah, I got life!

pushing buttons

Resetting your life

Much like resetting a phone

Requires patience

There can be so many steps

That don’t seem to make much sense

O2

Dear life, I thank you

For all those crazy moments

When I thought it worked

For those times I was

Convinced I had it mastered

So, I stopped to breathe

It was then I knew

Breathing was what I did best

And that was enough

ok

If you can’t always

Be together, be okay

With being okay
