Thank you I Get It

I can hardly thank Charli Mills enough for this week’s flash fiction prompt. It allowed me to take stock of my of my life at a point when it was most necessary. Woo Hoo! Check out the  Carrot Ranch

When I think of all I’ve been through in sixty-three years on this little blue planet, I am in awe. The sad experiences that seemed they would tear my heart out. The happy times I enjoyed so much, they drained me of my energy. But I am not about to complain!

It has all made me the person I am today. Even though when you take a look at me, I may appear to be a bit worse for the wear, I am still here. No worries. And though there’s so much more to learn, halleluiah, I got life!

pushing buttons

Resetting your life

Much like resetting a phone

Requires patience

There can be so many steps

That don’t seem to make much sense

Dear life, I thank you

For all those crazy moments

When I thought it worked

For those times I was

Convinced I had it mastered

So, I stopped to breathe

It was then I knew

Breathing was what I did best

And that was enough

If you can’t always

Be together, be okay

With being okay
