Sporadic flashes of light

Water everywhere

Bad weather for driving in

Better for sleeping at night

Sheets of rain falling

Small animals seek shelter

Neath tall tree branches

Thunder adds color

With a distant booming voice

Louder than rain’s drops

Someone wake lightening

It’s getting too dark to see

With no sun or moon

Thirsty soil sighs

Mother Nature buys a round

No one can refuse
