Pint Sized Picasso

The little one found a can of paint

The lid popped off with no complaint

The adventure ensued

And when it was through

The little one’s parents did faint

born to succeed

Be that whispering voice

Heard only in the heart

Of someone as they start

The new journey

Of being a parent

Something they’ve never done

Have a daughter or son

They may be scared

Remind them they have strength

To get through every day

For love will light the way

On this new road

Hear it down the block

An adult sized music box

Ice cream in motion

The truck makes it rounds

Every other house, there’s kids

Anxious for their treats
