Good Humor

We heard

It coming

How far away

Can we find our cash

How long had it been since

We bought ice cream from a truck

Once out there, we were not alone

The neighbor and her two kids were there

And everyone got something on a stick

tan lines

Back in our carefree youth

We laid on sheets of foil

Covered in baby oil

Courting the sun

curb appeal

What to toss away

What to put in the yard sale

Long ago treasures

Someone else will choose

If they can live without it

Someone else’s trash

Hugh’s Weekly Photo Challenge: Week 15 – Under

SO, I thought long and hard about this because I wanted to find the perfect photo. Here’s what I came up with.  It’s a shot from the back of the stage of a Beatles Tribute band who was performing a few miles from my home at a farmer’s market last summer.  They were SUPERB!  As I am the original United States Beatles Fan Girl, this is high praise indeed.   Under the pavilion, soon to be under the stars, they were giving us reasons to say, yeah, yeah, yeah!
