Watch those branches shake

When nature has to speak up

The leaves will obey

Movement so intense

The messages important

The wind moves them on

National Look Up at the Sky Day

It’s National Look Up at the Sky Day!

So, look up at the sky and imagine all your dreams coming true, wrapped up in a box of Tiffany blue. Take the time to sing in rhyme and give your all to learning a bird call. Blow kisses to clouds and point at nothing, just to draw a crowd.  Ask the sun about that rainbow’s end and believe that beautiful days are always your friend!  Lie on your back in a meadow of green and appreciate the atmosphere for just wanting to be seen.

Turning the mundane into play, the role of National Look Up at the Sky Day!

winter dot calm

The wind will blow cold

Bits of white clouds landing wet

Making the ground slick

Birds will dodge the flakes

Leaving imprints where they land

Measuring snow depth

Winds clear off the trees

Creating piles at our knees

Why are they called leaves?

hell hath no fury…

Do you see how hard the wind does blow

Hard enough to clear the evergreen of snow

Hard enough to let everybody know

It’s there

In the air is the song

So fast and strong of the mighty breeze

Shaking tall and sturdy trees to their very core

Slamming into buildings from the roof tops to the floor

Violent and frightening skies turn from blue to whitening

As flakes of white block distance from sight

So be you cautious on this winter’s day

Inside your shelter, I beg you stay

For the winds shall have nothing less than their way

Causing cowering among the towering

Forcing all to obey
