Have they told you yet
There might not be tomorrow

As you watch the days go by
Do you think of days gone by

I never think about yesterday. I have too many regrets, and there’s nothing I can do about them. As for my pleasant memories of yesterday, my happy times … I can’t relive them, so what’s the point of thinking about them?
At some point there won’t be a tomorrow for all of us. It’s the way of life. No use sweating it. No use worrying about tomorrow … or … yesterday.
Enjoy the NOW. It’s all we’re ever gonna have.

It’s human to reflect on the past, Sis. Then, we move forward! ❤

I just realized that I left the first line off.. This was written for my cousin, Terri, who is developmentally disabled and her cancer has spread throughout her body. We’ve asked her if she understands what is going on, and she doesn’t seem to. Perhaps, that is a blessing for her. ❤

Yes, well, I just added the first line, as I had left it off inadvertently. This is what is happening to a 65 year old cousin of mine, who is dying. We aren’t certain she really understands, as she is developmentally disabled.

If I had known that I wouldn’t have been so glib in my response. Sorry to hear that.

No worries, Andy-Drew. It simply is what it is and we are all trying to process how to help her through this. ❤

I re-read it now. The first line does make it more personal.
