Falling in Love

Thank you, Sue Vincent, for providing such a lovely #writephoto prompt this week. Cascade is the title and both the photo and the title inspired the 99-word story below.

No city holds such beauty.  Here, the mind can wander and the body can relax.  The birds fill the skies and the deer don’t mind you if you don’t mind them. Make sure your shoes are sturdy for a car cannot traverse the winding path.

The towering trees keep you cool as you pass ferns and other flora. Should you need to rest, there will be an accommodating rock. You are following the song of the water.

As the branches part, you gasp in awe for they reveal the dance between stream and gravity. You’ve found your true soulmate.
