We may think it’s random

Time’s given to something

That which makes our heart sing

Or brings a tear

Subconsciously we choose

Or we may boldly say

I’ll be busy today

And hang on tight

For one day, you’ll close eyes

With memories in tow

Of where that time did go

And what you chose
