Tree roots push down deep

Sunshine pulls the sapling out

Birds know when to nest

A Little Off the Top

This afternoon, she called

Shared a situation

Demands reparation

Her car damaged

Because she chose to park

Underneath the tree branch

Not in front of the ranch

Someone must pay

It’s in the neighbor’s yard

Hanging over the fence

Causing emotions, tense

Friends now at odds

There’s no reason to fight

Of course, no one’s to blame

Foliage hangs in shame

Grab the clippers
